Book Shelf: Infinity (The Infinity Division #1) by Jus Accardo

Jump dimensions. Find the bad guy. Don’t fall in love.

Nobody said being the daughter of an army general was easy. But when her dad sends a teenage subordinate to babysit her while he’s away? That's taking it a step too far.

Cade, as beautiful as he is deadly, watches Kori with more than just interest. He looks at her like he knows her very soul. And when he saves her from a seemingly random attack, well, that's when things get weird.

Turns out, Kori's dad isn’t just an army general—he’s the head of a secret government project that has invented a way to travel between parallel dimensions. Dimensions where there are infinite Koris, infinite Cades…and apparently, on every other Earth, they’re madly in love.

Falling for a soldier is the last thing on Kori’s mind. Especially when she finds herself in a deadly crossfire, and someone from another Earth is hell-bent on revenge…

Infinity kicks of Jus Accardo’s Infinity Division series and is an exciting start to a promising new sci-fi series featuring danger, romance and interdimensional travel!

Seventeen year old Kori Anderson is an army brat, used to moving a lot due to her Amy general father’s job. It’s never been a problem, but with her mother having passed away two years before, Kori is lonelier than ever and now finds herself in trouble for public vandalism. Her dad’s response is to send two young recruits to watch over and shadow her, but there’s something about the two boys that Kori can’t quite put her finger on. Cade Granger ignites a fire in her like no other, and watches her with an equally hot look in his eyes, while Noah is surly and gruff and seems to take an instant dislike to Kori. Discovering the truth about Cade and Noah changes everything Kori ever knew about herself and her world. Now left connected to a device that allows its wearer to jump dimensions and will surely kill Kori if not taken off, Kori, Cade and Noah will have to outsmart an enemy driven by revenge if Kori has any hope of surviving…..

Having previously had mixed thoughts about Jus Accardo’s work in the past, I headed into Infinity loving the concept of the tale, but not sure what to expect. As a sci-fi geek, multiple dimensions is something I’ve always found exciting, but I find that authors sometimes turn fated loves such as the one I was expecting between Kori and Cade into my long standing pet peeve, insta-love. So I was perplexed….then Jus Accardo sucker punched me with this tale and blew all my hesitations out of the water!

Extremely addictive, Infinity was a really enjoyable story to read! It was fast paced, well told and very exciting. Introducing readers to an intriguing sci-fi world I’d keen to explore more of, Infinity follows a strong heroine in Kori who is fiery and passionate. Kori has plenty of attitude and personality, and is genuinely likable.

Jus Accardo supports Kori with two super awesome personalities in Cade and Noah, who are obvious highlights to the story with fantastic dialogue, interactions and an addictive connection between the three evident throughout Infinity. Cade was an excellent love interest for Kori. He was strong, capable and very sweet. He wanted to right wrongs and basically save the world. And Noah? Though grumpy and argumentative, I really liked Noah. He was entertaining and I did like his attitude. Plus, I want to give Jus Accardo a serious high five for stepping away from the stereo-typical jerk/nasty-guy-secretly-wants-and-then-gets-the-girl theme that gets around where Noah is concerned. His connection to Kori is one of a different nature, that I’m excited to explore further in the rest of the series.

I was really impressed with Infinity and found it highly entertaining reading. Jus Accardo introduces readers to an intriguing new world and a feisty heroine I can’t wait to follow in the next book. A great kick-start to a series that has a lot of potential, Infinity definitely left me craving more!
