This week was actually a massive week for me. Many of the books I've won arrived this week and I bought a couple of books too.
I won....
Maria V. Snyder is doing a fantastic thing this year where when you recommend her books to five people and have them email her, she'll send you a FREE copy of one of her books! Yes, you heard right....FREE....SIGNED book. Isn't that fantastic?!?! I'm a HUGE fan of her Poison Study series, and even though I own them all, I had to take advantage of this. I did have to pay $10 for shipping seeing as I live Down Under, but it was more than worth it as far as I'm concerned. Check out her Referral Program for yourself http://www.mariavsnyder.com/contests.php
I was lucky enough to win a signed copy of In The Arms Of Stone Angels by Jordan Dane thanks to Michelle over at http://www.thebookheist.com/ I have actually read this book, thanks to NetGalley, but I loved it, and it's fantastic to have a signed copy. So many thanks to Michelle!
Thanks to the fantastic team over at http://www.bittenbybooks.com/ I was lucky enough to win a goodie pack from Gini Koch, author of the Katherine "Kitty" Kat series, a series about aliens and the adventures of Miss Katherine "Kitty" Kat....something which I haven't read, but is on my never ending to-read series regardless. The awesome swag included a tote bag, pens, a hat, some post cards and magnets and some signed posters from Ms. Koch herself.
I also technically "won" a signed copy of The Chosen by Sheenah Freitas when I bid on an auction she was participating in to help raise funds to help the devastated people of Japan. I got a signed copy of her book, a couple of bookmarks and a notepad. I was proud to be a part of such a good cause. You can check out The Chosen at: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10306049-the-chosen
I bought....
This week I bought The Darkest Secret by Gena Showalter (which I have already read and reviewed, I might add) and Definace by Lilith Saintcrow, a book I am just dying to read. That's everything for me this week. So....what did you get in your mailbox?
I LOVE Poison Study! How awesome is that?! I'm jealous that you got a signed book. I'll have to try and recommend it too! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI keep seeing In the Arms of Stone Angels, but I've never read the description. I'll have to go check it out. Yay for another signed book! :)

Congrats on winning those books! All your books sound really great. I'll definitely have to check out Poison Study!

Jennifer, you'll defiantly have to try and recommend! I'm so thrilled to have a signed copy, seeing it's one of my all time faves, and it'd be great if other people took advantage of such a generous offer.
ReplyDeleteIn The Arms of Stone Angels was actually really good. It’s not quite as paranormal based as I usually liked, but once I started reading it, I really found myself lost to it. It’s such a good book. You should check it out; I doubt you’ll be sorry!
Thank-you Melissa! I admit I'm becoming addicted to blog hops, and contests--they're so much fun =D
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. Do check out Poison Study, you won't be sorry!
