Top Ten Tuesday #2

Top Ten Tuesday is an weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish were we discuss a different fun and book themed list every week. This week we’re talking:

Top Ten Books I Had VERY Strong Emotions About....

~Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead: I was happy, sad, giddy, thrilled, and heart-broken while reading this book. I soared, I flew then I fell. This book contains one of two of the biggest moments in this series and I felt everything while reading it.

~Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward: This book was the first time I ever cried while reading a book. I'd never seen such pain and anguish come from a character at the time. And it's stayed with me.

~Chosen by P.C. Cast, Kristin Cast: I actually love this series but this book (and even a few after it) have made me want to bang my head against the wall. Zoey drives me insane with her pathetic choices. I can't stand the girl to be honest and if ever there was a book I'd through against the wall, this'd have to be one of them.

~Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon: This was my most anticipated Dark Hunter book and Kenyon didn't disappoint. Ash's heart wrenching tale was one of pain, humiliation, but ultimately acceptance and love. It was beautiful and made my heart break and soar for the most incredible of all the Dark Hunter characters.

~The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray: (WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!) Aggh! This book. I think I DID actually throw it across the room at one point. I was so looking forward to it and didn't finish it. The ending killed me. Everything they're been through, all they'd faced and he died. Never been so angry with a book before or since!

~If I Die by Rachel Vincent: I recently finished this (haven't even posted a review yet, lol) but yaaaaaay! I was giddy the entire time I was reading this, practically jumping up and down and dancing with joy. Couldn't get enough of this book!

~The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter: I really adore Gena's dry humour, and I spent the majority of this book in stitches over Anya. Boy, that girl! She sure had a few things to say. She was so funny.

~Forbidden by Jana Oliver: Love the series, love the book, but wanted to strangle Riley in this one sooooo much. First, she treats Beck horribly and can't see what's in front of her eyes. Wanted to hurl it a couple of times, I really did.

~Fateful by Claudia Gray: I love this book and think it's beautiful, but boy did it ever break my heart. Obviously we all know the story of The Titanic and how it ends, but that didn't stop me for falling for characters I knew might not make it (and some didn't) and the ending of this was so sad. I felt myself tear up, I really did.

~The Black Dagger Brotherhood: An Insider's Guide by J.R. Ward: I've never laughed so much with a book before IN MY LIFE. The outtakes, interviews and forum posts are HILARIOUS. Rhage and V......let me say one word.....Knitting. Freakin' funny as!

What are your Top Ten Books I Had VERY Strong Emotions About? Let me know!

  1. I completely agree about Zoey! The more books the release, the more ridiculous her choices seem to be. I don't understand how she's supposed to be a strong female protagonist, but then cheats on her bf with a human while eyeing her warrior? Ugh, please.

  2. I know Kelley, and then she gets with a teacher. Hasn't she got enough men???

You'll love Fateful, carole! It's a fantastic read!
