In My Mailbox #28

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren where we can share the books we bought, borrowed or received throughout the week. For more info on just what it is and how to participate, head here.

Hey everyone!
I'm back from another IMM after being unable to participate last week. I hope you all had a terrific week in books--I've been attempting to curb my spending, but here's what I got for the last two weeks....

I Bought:
~Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
~Gone by Lisa McMann
~Crusade by Linda Press Wulf

I finally got myself a copy of Clockwork Prince--I've been meaning/trying to for ages now. Gotta read this soon!

For Review:
From Harlquin Australia....
~Spellbound by Cara Lynn Shultz
~On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane
(Thank-you so much to Gabby and the entire Harlequin Australia team--I love you guys!)

I've alreayd started Spellbound and I'm actually enjoying it more than I expected. I've been dying to read On A Dark Wing as I adore Dane's In The Arms Of Stone Angels--can't wait to start it.

I Won:

I was thrilled to discover I won a limited edition hardback SIGNED copy of Fallen by Lauren Kate from Random House Australia and the Fallen Books Facebook page. I've already got a signed set of these books, but my mum has been thinking about reading them, so it made for a lovely surprise when I gave this one to her ^_^

I also won a copy of The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter from Teddyree over at The Eclectic Reader for voting for the ORPHEUS trailer. I had initially hoped to put this towards You Give=We Give as I already have a copy, but it obviously didn't arrive in time. Another book my mum snagged, lol.

And that's it for me! What did you get this week?

    1. Yes! Gabby really is so good to us Aussie bloggers, isn't she? <3
Lauren's signature is really pretty--one of the nicer author siggy's I've seen. Yeah, I was really surprised when she stopped in Campbelltown during her Aussie tour last year. I mean, I saw her in MY TOWN, not Sydney, but the actual place I live which was pretty cool ^_^ <3

  5. Eeek! I'm sorry! I'm a terrible, slow commenter :(

But your mailbox! *points* *eaves finger* It be AWWESOMES! GONE! OMG! I have a crush on Lisa McMann's writing! Janie! Cabe! Oh, I LOVE these books (watch me cry. Seriously). And I SO hope you like On A Dark Wing! The writing is just BEAUTIFUL. There's this one scene in it where Abbey is alone watching the Northern Lights and it's still and quiet and utter perfection. I was there. Jordan said that moment in the book was a real one for her.

Eeee! Fallen! SO PRETTY! You lucky thing... Are the Fallen covers not completely gorgeous?

I'm seriously inordinately excited about your mailbox XD

Gabby is AMAZING! She should have her own Facebook Fanpage XD

    2. Haha. That's alright Sarah, I can be a slow commenter, especially considering all the blogs I love. I don't know why it's taken me so long to get Gone. I liked the first two books a lot but for some reason never got around to finishing the series. They're the only books of hers I've read although I have a couple others on my to read list.
I enjoy Jordan Dane's writing. It's very beautiful--In the Arms of Stone Angels was stunning. I loved it. Sounds amazing--look forward to reading it.

Yes! The Fallen books are stunning. I may not adore the books but the covers are breath-taking!!

Lamo! I would totally like that page if Gabby had one. Maybe we should rename the Harlequin page the "Gabby Facebook Page" LOL <3

    3. I could TOTALLY be cool with that. Or we could just setup a fan page. She'll stumble across it one day and FREAK XD

Ooooh, We could get Team Gabby T-Shirts! :D

YES YES YES! Everything you said! I really liked the first two Dreamcatcher books (I'm really excited for her new one--Dead To You).

And Jordan's writing? Magnafique. It's beautiful. I have In the Arms of Stone Angels at home, and I'm really looking forward to getting to it.

And what you said about Fallen? Exactly. But I don't care, as long as I get my cover candy :P

    4. Lmao! She'd sure be in for a shock if she randomly stumbled across it, lol!

Haha. Yeah. We could advertise our love for Gabby--the guardian of all the bestest books ;)

I hopefully wanna read Gone soon. There are tonnes of books I need to get to, but there just aren't enough hours in the day. I've only ever read Lisa's Wake and Fade books but I really liked them. They were raw and real and I liked her writing style, despite what others may think.

Yes!! Jordan's writing is really beautiful. Oh, I loved In The Arms of Stone Angels!! I even have a signed copy that I was lucky enough to win :D

Me too! I love drooling over the lust-worthy covers!
