Six years ago, Dewayne
Falco's life changed. He lost someone he never expected to lose.
Resigned to punish himself for something he felt he could have
prevented, he goes through life without getting too close to anyone.
What
he didn't expect was for the girl across the street to move back home
and remind him of what they both lost: Dewayne's younger brother Dustin.
However, when a miniature version of Dustin opens the door to greet
him, Dewayne realizes he might not have lost everything after all.
Sienna
Roy loved Dustin Falco most of her life. He was the boy next door, the
high school basketball star and her best friend. But when his life was
cut short, she realized he left a part of himself behind.
Now,
she's back in Sea Breeze, thankful to have a home for her and Dustin's
son, but not sure if she can ever forgive the people across the street
who abandoned her when she needed them the most — The Falcos.
Betrayal, lies, and forbidden attraction might end Dewayne and Sienna's story before it's even begun.

Review:
Abbi Glines is back with another brilliant tale in Hold on Tight, the endearing, sweet and extremely electric 8th installment in her passionate and addictive Sea Breeze series, this time following Dewayne Falco and the woman he has always loved, Sienna Roy.
I’ll be honest here; Dewayne has never actually been someone I’ve really been drawn to in this series. He hasn’t been as prominent as some of the other characters and though he’s always seemed like a good guy, I wasn’t as ecstatic to read Dewayne’s story as I have been heading into those of some of the other characters in the series. Don’t get me wrong---I was excited to read yet another Abbi Glines novel as I always enjoy her books, but I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy Dewayne’s tale. Imagine my surprise when I found myself addicted to this story from the opening chapter. Hold on Tight absolutely blew me away and I'm so incredibly in love with Dewayne, Sienna and Micah after reading this book!
Sienna Roy has always been party boy Dewayne Falco weakness. It’s been years since he’s seen the sweet and sexy redhead, not since his younger brother Dustin died, and Sienna, his brother’s girlfriend and childhood best friend moved away. Even though she was his younger brother Dustin’s girl, Sienna has always had a special place in Dewayne’s heart and losing Sienna hurt almost as much as losing his brother. However when Sienna returns, she brings the one thing that may possibly heal Dewayne and the rest of the Falco clan; Micah, Dustin’s son and the splitting image of Dewayne’s lost brother--the child that Sienna had fought her parents to have.
Shocked to find a part of his brother alive and living in the beautiful little boy, Dewayne wants nothing more than to be a part of Micah's life and as he and his family start to get to know Micah, Dewayne can't help but be reminded of why he cared about the lovely Sienna all those years ago, and as he gets to know the woman she has now become it's only a matter of time before they give into the attraction that has always been there between them.....
Hold on Tight is told through the eyes of both Dewayne and Sienna and sees the two of them fall in love when they find themselves back in each others lives. In the beginning I was unsure how their romance would work considering Sienna was once Dewayne's brothers girlfriend and the mother of his child, but in true Abbi Glines fashion, she manages to weave together a beautifully told tale of romance, family and healing. I felt Dewayne and Sienna's romance and attraction from the moment I started the story, and the history and backstory Glines shares of theirs actually goes a long way to enhance just how beautiful it is to watch them find each other again and fall in love.
As far as characters go, I was really thrilled with Dewayne and Sienna, as well as the Falco family and of course Micah who steals the show on more than one occasion with his adorable nature, love for his mother and the protective and older-than-his-years way he treats Sienna. Glines has written a stunning story of a family coming together again and it was so beautiul to see.
I can't praise Sienna enough as a character. The strength she showed as a teenager to defy her parents and have the baby they didn't want her to have, when she was alone and by herself is truly something. Her boyfriend was dead, her family shunned her and she had no real support, but Sienna made the choice to have her little boy and was an incredible mother from the moment they put him in her arms. The strenth she had to do what she did wasn't lost on me and as we see her with Micah throughout the novel it's clear as day that she's a wonderful mother and I just adore that Abbi Glines has written her this way. She's strong and beautiful too and has a kind heart and I think she's easily one of my favourite leading ladies in this series......
Dewayne won me over in this book too with the way he wholeheartedly accepts Micah from the moment he meets him. All his has to know is that Micah is a part of his brother and he's willing to do whatever it takes to take care of the little man, and his mumma, and it was wonderful seeing Dewayne try to better himself for the two people he so easily came to love. There's no doubt Dewayne made some mistakes, but Glines allows you to see him grow and make the right decisions along the way, and there's nothing more wonderful than that.
With the romance between Sienna and Dewayne so electric, powerful and true, there's no doubt in my mind these two were truly made for each other and as Abbi Glines dishes out another sexy romance full of family and love, she continues to prove why she's one of the reigning queens of the NA genre and leaves me where I always am when I finish one of her books......ready to read the next one!
