In My Mailbox #27

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren where can share the books they bought, borrowed or received throughout the week. For more info on just what it is and how to participate, head here.

Welcome to another In My Mailbox!
Here's what I was fortunate to get this week....
(PS. Sorry the pictures are so grainy. I don't know what happened with my camera :S)

I Bought:

So I've been going a little crazy over at Basement Books and I bought a few more this week.

~Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton
~Entice by Carrie Jones
~My Name Is Memory by Ann Brashares
~Chime by Franny Billingsley

I've wanted to read Blood Magic and Chime for a while, so I'm looking forward to starting those two. I've put off reading My Name Is Memory for a while as it reminds me soooo much of Fallen by Lauren Kate and I wasn't a big fan of that series. As for Entice, I read and loved the first two Need books, but I'm scared to read this one. I'm a BIG Nick fan (I know, I suck right?) and I don't like the possibility of Zara falling for Astley, so yes, I've been chicken. Perhaps I'll finally read this one soon.

For Review:
~The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
~Everneath by Brodi Ashton
~Fracture by Megan Miranda--I've already read and reviewed Fracture and it was brilliant. You can check out my review here!

EEEEEP! Mara. Dyer. The Unbecoming Of. Nuff said! I'm so dying to dive into this I can barely put it into words. I sincerely hope it lives up to my expectations, but considering all the incredible reviews it's been getting I think it will. And Everneath! I'm in book heaven right now! This is one of my most dying to read in 2012 books and it's here. Woo-hoo!
(Thank-you so much to Caroline and the team at Simon & Schuster for these two!! I love you guys!)
Fracture was an incredible read! I've already devoured it and absolutely adored it. I highly recommend for fans of If I Stay and spine tingling thrillers!
(Thank-you so much Bloomsbury Australia for this!)

I Received:

The fabulous Michelle at Novels On The Run was kind enough to send me some signed Vampire Shift bookplates, some of which I'm planning to give away. Michelle and I are big fans of the self published Kiera Hudson series by Tim O'Rourke and when I mentioned how jealous I was that she had some signed goodies she up and offered to share some with me! How much does Michelle rock!?! Be on the lookout for an upcoming giveaway to get yourself and be sure to check out the Kiera Hudson series on Amazon.com. They're the best $0.99 ebook you'll ever read.
THANK-YOU so much to Michelle for these and of course Tim for signing them!

So that was my mailbox this week!

What did you get?

    1. I'm glad to hear you liked Blood Magic Brods! I've heard mixed reviews so that's one of the reasons I've hesitated to pick it up before. LMAO! I'm so excited to read Mara too! And meeting this NOAH FREAKING SHAW, haha!

  4. Aaaah! So much amazing in one mailbox! Ooooh, Entice!

EEEEE! YOU WENT TO BASEMENT BOOKS! *hugs*
It's terrifying, huh? It's actually where I bought Need by Carrie Jones. I LIKED it... and, uh, I've had Entice sitting at home for over a year now *head shake* Must read. Are you going to review? Ooooh, do you know the last book, Endure, is coming out this year? I'm also a bit... hmmm... to be honest, I've put of reading them, because I know what happens to Nick, and I'm SCARED. And I don't want her to fall for Astley, either :(

    1. Ha! Yes. And I love me some amazing.

Hmmm, no. I haven't been yet, but I keep ordering stuff off their website. LOL. Next time I'm in the city I'm gonna stop in though. Ugh. I bought Need AGES ago from Angus and Robertson.....paid $25 to have to shipped over from the US. This was like, years and years ago...before they had in it Oz :S

Most likely. If I read it, I'll review it. Yes, I have Endure on my Goodreads to-read list. I love the cover for that one! And SAME!! I've read spoiler about what happens so I know what happens in this book too, hence the chicken. Woo-hoo!! Glad to meet another Nick fan. Seems like everyone I talk to about these books have switched teams to Astley's side :(

    2. YEah... I, um... read the series synopsis :S

I guess, maybe, that the Astley thing is 'cos they've read the other books? But her and Nick! They just seemed like such the real deal.

BB has 20% further reduced prices on in-store at the moment... oh, and their prices are cheaper in-store than online :O So it's cheaper than the existing cheaper :OOOOO

And the cover for Endure! YES! <3

    3. I know. *nervous*

Yes, especially in the first book. They were so sweet and seemed totally gaga for one another. Sometimes I really hate love triangles and this is one of those cases!

Hmmm, so, so tempted to check it out, although i can't see myself getting into the city anytime soon. But I really wanna go if they're so much better their!

      Uh-huh. It's awesome!

  5. Everneath is definitely one of my most anticipated reads with all of the great reviews I've seen so far on it and that gorgeous cover. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is one I'd be interested to pick up, too!

    1. I'm DYING to read Mara! It's been a fight not to literally start reading it at times. And Everneath looks just fabulous--can't wait to read these either.
Hope you're able to read them too Ashley :)
